Becoming a mentee will allow you to explore your needs with your mentor. You can focus on your personal development or perhaps on your professional growth. Whatever you decide to work on, it will be together with a mentor with a life science background like yours. They will challenge your perspectives, guide your decisions and let you tap into their experience and knowledge in an informal and safe environment.
The mentor will be assigned to you depending on your interests, your personality, and your career goals. Synapse will take into consideration your motivational letter and your choice of 9 words that best describe yourself. We have already produced a list of words to choose from – which will be evident in the application form
You are eligible to enter the program if:

In the application form you also need to pick 9 words that best describe yourself. The words are about personality, interests and development goals. We will use these words to find the best match for you.
As we only have a limited number of mentors we will not be able to match all applicants. Remember that the Synapse Mentorship Program is not a way into the companies that our mentors represent
Becoming a mentor will allow you to inspire the next generation of life science students, grow your professional network and gain valuable skills like coaching and leadership.
In addition to the one-to-one meetings with your mentee and the main events, Synapse organizes two events dedicated exclusively to mentors. During these events, you will be able to expand your professional network.
